About this course

This course provides foundation knowledge and practical skills for first aiders in workplaces with 50 or more employees, in higher risk workplaces (such as engineering, manufacturing, warehousing, construction etc) and workplaces that deal with underlying conditions (such as diabetes, heart issues, high blood pressure etc). It is compliant with Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations.

It is strongly recommended by the HSE that candidates undergo an annual refresher in the years before FAW requalification is required in order to keep skills updated.

Who this course is for

The candidate must already hold a current and in-date First Aid at Work Qualification and the original certificate MUST be brought on the first day of the course. Candidates will refresh the practical skills they learnt through their initial

Candidates should have a positive attitude, be responsible, have an aptitude to help, be able to think clearly in times of need, be willing and able to learn new skills, be physically able to deal with demanding emergency situations and have good communication skills.
